The Gravette Lions Volleyball Team wrapped up a remarkable season with a 19-6 overall record, 10-2 in conference play, finishing as the 4A-1 Conference Runner-up, 4A-1 District Champions, and 4A North Regional Champions. The Lions made history with their first-ever regional championship and a deep run to the state quarterfinals, where their season ended in a hard-fought battle against the Mena Bearcats.

4A-1 District Tournament Champions
The Lions entered the 4A-1 District Tournament on a mission, showcasing their dominance from the very start. In the quarterfinals, they overwhelmed Gentry, winning decisively in straight sets (25-4, 25-7, 25-14). Gravette continued its strong form in the semifinals, defeating Huntsville in four sets (25-15, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23). In the championship match, the Lions faced off against Prairie Grove, taking home the title in three straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-23) and securing the district crown.

4A North Regional Champions
Gravette entered the 4A North Regional Tournament full of confidence and delivered exceptional performances, going undefeated to claim their first-ever regional title. In the opening round, the Lions beat Clarksville 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 26-24), led by standout performances from Ella Pinches and McKenna Frazier. In the semifinals, they once again defeated Huntsville, sweeping the Eagles in three sets (25-20, 25-19, 29-27) in a thrilling match. The championship saw the Lions face Prairie Grove in a rematch of the district finals, where they triumphed 3-1 (25-13, 25-17, 24-26, 25-19), securing the regional title and continuing their historic postseason run.

State Tournament Run
Gravette advanced to the 4A State Tournament as the top seed from the North, where they made it to the quarterfinals. In a highly competitive match against the Mena Bearcats, the Lions battled hard but ultimately fell in four sets (22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 17-25), bringing their impressive season to a close.

Standout Players
Several Lions players were recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the season:

Ella Pinches (All-State): Pinches was a key offensive and defensive player for the Lions, finishing the season with 260 kills, 43 aces, and 247 digs.
Laney Chilton (All-State): Chilton led the defense with 312 digs and contributed 41 aces and 51 assists, anchoring the backline throughout the season.
Drew Madison (All-Conference): Madison was a force at the net, racking up 83 kills, 22 blocks, and 25 aces, earning her All-Conference honors.
McKenna Frazier (All-Conference): Frazier was the team’s primary setter, finishing with 268 assists, while also contributing 81 kills, 62 aces, and 118 digs.
Emma Renfrow (All-Conference): Renfrow provided consistent offense for the Lions, tallying 133 kills and 33 digs over the season.

A Season to Remember
The 2024 season will go down in the history books for Gravette Volleyball. From the team’s second-place conference finish to their district and regional championships, the Lions displayed grit, talent, and teamwork every step of the way. Their journey to the state quarterfinals, combined with individual accolades for many of their players, marks this season as one of the most successful in program history.

The Lions' future looks bright as they build on this year's success and aim for even greater achievements in the seasons to come.
